Disability Tax Credit (DTC) Questions and Resources 

Many people have questions about the DTC and whether the HCCT can assist with application. We've created this page to simplify the process and what steps you need to take if you want to apply for the DTC. 

  1. Does the HCCT do DTC applications and how much will this cost? Yes, the HCCT physicians and NP sign off on medical documentation for DTC applications. There is no cost to the applicant. 

  2. ​How do I get the HCCT to do my DTC application? Click here to go to a free online tool that explains the tasks you need to do. One of the tasks is to book a specific DTC appointment. Filling out the "restrictions" questionnaire ahead of time and sending it the medical office assistants is really helpful. 

  3. What if I need more help? You can ask to book in with one of the social workers on the team for brainstorming solutions. There are companies that will advocate for you, but most of these will cost you money.
